About Us

Yelahanka Puttenahalli Lake and Bird Conservation Trust (YPLBCT) along with Karnataka Forest Department has been involved in the up-keep of the Yelahanka Puttenahalli Bird Conservation Reserve (YPBCR) since its inception in 2013. The main objective of YPLBCT is to protect the lake and establish it as a biodiverse space for conservation of birds, promotion of bird watching, education and research of students and other organizations.

YPBCR attracts a broad spectrum of visitors that include everyday walkers, curious visitors who are there to see what the space is, naturalists who visit to understand and appreciate the biodiversity, photographers who visit for bird and insect photography, students who visit to learn about the various life forms at the lake and the specially abled who visit to enjoy everything that the lake has to offer in their own unique way.

Yelahanka Puttenahalli Lake and Bird Conservation is registered under Indian Trust Act wide registration number BNG(U)YLNK/BKIV/13/2014 with an objective to work towards Development, Restoration, Maintenance and Promotion of Puttenahalli Lake at Yelahanka, Bangalore, North.
